The first impression I got from this book was that one of those screechy sorority girls had just run up into my space and started yelling at me how amazing she is. And that really isn't too far off the mark. I just find it odd that a book so focused on "God" starts with pages of descriptions of the authors. Most devotionals that I read contain very little by way of explanation of how the book came to be. If you want me to learn about God, tell me about God. If you want me to learn about you, tell me about you. But don't pretend that a book is about God when it's really about you.
