If you’re a fan of YA fantasy, you have to add this book to your tbr. At first I wasn’t quite sure about it because like a lot of fantasy with world building, it was a lot to take in at first. Once I got more into the story, I couldn’t stop reading. I loved the characters. The banter between Teo and Niya were some of my favorite scenes. I loved the setting and the challenge scenes were the best. I had so my tension and anxiety reading them because I was rooting for Teo and his friends. This book was so exciting and fun, but also touched on emotions that teenagers experience. When I finished the book I immediately wanted the second and I’m so bummed I have to wait until next year! It’s going to be one of my most anticipated reads for 2023 for sure! I’m recommending this book to all my fantasy loving friends!!
