I've been very interested in this book since the first time I read the premise and even more intrigued when the author shared the artworks of each of the characters along with the details about their powers on social media.

I think the idea of describing the creation myth of this world right at the beginning was a great move because it gave us an excellent entry point into the world without breaking the flow of the actual story. But what did surprise me was that I wasn't expecting this world to have modern technology like an urban fantasy. And the whole Hunger Games style competition sounds exciting and I can't wait for that plot to start.

Teo seems like an interesting protagonist and I'm excited to discover his backstory, especially what happened in the past with Aurelio and how will he react when he gets chosen for the Sunbearer Trials. I'm eager to get to this book and I would be very happy if I receive this arc.
