The Sunbearer Trials is an interesting Mexican inspired mythology story that has elements of magic, talking animals, gods, Demi-gods and families. It sounds like it will be a great read for middle school age readers as well as high school readers. I might enjoy it even though I' m much older, so maybe good for all ages.
