I gave this one four stars. I felt that it was significantly hyped up more than necessary to make you feel like it was a super creepy, scary story. It was in fact, not really super scary or creepy. I think I expected it more on Alice Feeney's level, but it wasn't there. It was suspenseful, but I only found the killer’s past to have the creep factor. There wasn't enough scare for me and there was plenty of room to go that way even. The actual murders and suicides didn’t seem to hold much creep for me as they were just kind of thrown at you. For a suspenseful novel, it worked really well. If you are looking for a thriller, this is not on that level. It also had some predictable parts, but the different character views added to the suspense. I was confused a little bit in the beginning because the character names were so similar. I had to reread a few pages and go back to double check names. Other than that a great premise, but could have been taken further.

Based on the name you’ll find some triggers: suicide, domestic violence, murder.
