This book centers on a group of boarding school students who participate in a deadly game called "The Man in the Mirror", two high-schoolers are killed and the perpetrator is caught. However, in the following year several more of the group have committed suicide. Both Rory Moore, a forensic reconstructionist and psychologist Lane Phillips look into the case. I enjoyed this pairing and look forward to reading further about them in Some Choose Darkness. I found myself drawn to the character of Rory Moore and I wanted to know more about her life and upbringing.

At no point did I find this slow-moving it all trickles up to a great buildup. I enjoyed the several possibilities of a killer and the mystery was well written so that I had no idea which one of the suspects was truly responsible for the crimes. The only drawback that I saw is that in the beginning of this book the story centered around a podcast based on these murders and that storyline quickly dissolved, I would have been interested to see more about the podcast.

This is the second book that I have read by the author and did not disappoint. I am ready to read more by this author as soon as I can get my hands on his other books!
