✨Review✨

Thank you so much Kensington Books for the free ARC of “The Suicide House” to review! Readers can grab a copy on 7/28/20.

There was so much that I loved about this book! Let’s start with the setting. I am just the biggest fan of a boarding school setting in a thriller. The Westmont Prep Slaughters are terrifying murders that happened on campus and now investigators are revisiting the case due to a bizarre string of survivor suicides.

I also love the format of this book. This book has a lot of very short chapters. Some of the chapters are podcast episodes, some are journal entries, and some are time jumps between past and present. There was certainly a lot of back and forth, but once you see how everything fits at the end you’ll see that it all makes sense!

I have to mention the characters as well. Rory Moore is such a unique and interesting character. She’s a forensic reconstructionist and it’s amazing how she puts the pieces of the case together. She doesn’t do it on her own though! There’s a handful of supporting characters who also played a huge role!

Overall I would definitely recommend this one to thriller lovers who enjoy a boarding school setting, varying styles of writing, and intriguing characters! I know I will be reading more by Donlea now.
