In these first pages, we are introduced to multiple charters- including an “Unknown” person in therapy speaking about a murder who all understand that there is a story to be told. Even though we are shown multiple story lines, there is an indication that everything is not only what it seems on the surface, but that everything is connected in an unknown way. I enjoyed the way the author wrote each prospective from the Detective in charge of the case to the “bystander” listening to a a podcast about a famous case because you can already see the interweaving if multiple stories coming together. With podcast being a big thing in today’s time- it’s great that the author was able to incorporate an popular way to tell true crime stories into this story- it definitely kept me interested. With the way this author can already weave a tale and get you interested in the characters in this book, this is a definite must read!
