The cover is gorgeous. The synopsis pulled me right in. That first paragraph was amazing. One of the best things I have read in a while. After that I have no idea where the story went. I was completely lost. I could barely understand what the characters were talking about. And wasn't something said about dice? That did not reoccur in the narrative. Maybe it was a metaphor but it was not made clear. There is a good idea here but as far I can see sadly it so far was not as well executed as it could have been.
