This book is written so heavily in double speak and grandiose statements that it's almost impossible to determine what's actually going on. The reader is thrown immediately into action where the main characters are at risk of losing their lives. But the explanation of what happened is difficult to follow and impossible to understand given that the reader knows nothing of the world or characters being discussed.
