I can get behind the idea of a couple of misfits hired for their intelligence and skills. Buc and Eld are intriguing characters all by themselves but together they are on fire. I love the combination of an army, a courtroom, and fantasy elements all together. It adds finesse to the otherwise just 'fantasy' or just 'contemporary.'
