From the brief glimpse I of Buc's character, I can tell that I am really going to like her. She is easily likable with attitude and I like the idea that she loves knowledge.
I enjoyed how it went straight into the action and plot with quick glimpses into the world with that (i.e referencing to mages worshipping Gods). I am excited by the idea of this being a fantasy crime novel, with aspects of Sherlock, intertwined into it.
