Historical fiction is not usually my thing but I was quite interested in continuing this story. The first chapter really draws you in and I wanted to know more about what the character went through when they were taken and what they are coming home to. The character development seemed good so far and the writing was done well. The story direction was enticing and made me want to keep reading.
Overall I was quite impressed with the movement of the story and the interest it provoked in me.
I was a little confused about the timeline of the story itself. I had to go back and check the dates. I prefer stories in chronological order and I was trying to get a grip on why this went backwards by a day. Guess we will find out eventually.
I would also love a pronunciation guide for those of us who are not familiar with the language. And maybe a timeline of the war events? That would help me tremendously.
