I loved the first look of this book, and was very excited to win a copy. It took me awhile to really get into reading this story. At times I am a mood reader, and found that I had to force myself to sit down and read it. But, I am SO happy that I did. Somewhere around chapter three I fell completely in awe of these characters, and the story the author gave us.

When the book started out Maria was coming from a Nazi camp. She arrives to her town to see it destroyed, and her family gone. She finds her brother who is in the resistance. I had never heard of the "silent unseen" and felt that this book really gave a new perspective from a different part of the war- that is not often talked about, or taught.

I ended up flying through the rest of the book as I watched Maria embark on a journey that would forever live in history. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
