Can I just say I have never been so tense reading a book in my whole life?!!! This was a wonderfully executed, and gripping, fast paced story about two likeable characters who are pitted against one another because they are fighting on two different sides of the war. Both of our main characters felt like real people and I was terrified for them on almost every page. I have not read such "real" characters in quite a long time, and I was impressed with the authors ability to make me care about them both. I'm not usually a fan of dual perspective books because I usually like one more than the other, and can't wait to get back to the one narrative that I like. This was not the case with this story! Both were excellently plotted and paced and I raced through to the finish line because I had to know how their story would work out. I quite like this cover and I think it makes the book look interesting enough to take off the shelf.
