WWII historical fiction
The Silent Unseen by Amanda McCrina opens with Maria's perspective in July 1944, Poland. She's been arrested and handcuffed to a chair. It then switches to Kostya's perspective, also in Poland at the same time. The book is WWII historical fiction, focused (I believe) on the Soviets, Polish Resistance and Ukrainian nationalists.
The cover is pretty, but almost seems to imply something paranormal -- the way the hands are blue, it seems like ghosts reaching out to one another.
