This historical fiction novel sounds very intriguing based on the synopsis and the short preview I read. The protagonist of the novel, Maria, is on her way home to a village in Poland after several years of forced labor in Germany during WWII. She must locate her brother, who she believed to be dead, as he is now a special operations agent with a local Polish resistance group. And of course, there is a good deal of romance in the novel as well, between Maria and someone who she never thought she would be relying on for help. The plot of this story sounds unique and I am really interested in reading the rest of the novel and seeing what happens next. The cover is also nice and fits well with the story in my opinion.
