Ze psychology is tricky....
Okay, this is a great thriller that just carries you along, and it's not overly-long, so I appreciate that.
I should have seen the Big Revelation from a million miles away, but I just didn't. I suspect most readers will be like me on this.
It's basically written in two voices, the journal of a psychiatric inpatient, and the notes of a psychiatric doctor at the hospital. Most of the patient's journal was written before she apparently went crazy, and she seems likable and reasonable. And the doctor's notes show him to be a calm, reasonable, hugely empathetic fellow--someone you would like to have as your own doctor, or colleague, or friend.
Will we ever be able to "reach" the inpatient, will we ever come to understand the mysteries of her situation??
