An interesting read. While I’ve heard this book referred to as unsettling and disturbing, I didn’t find it to be all that true. I understand what they are alluding to, I mean the guy does get shot in the face and as the story unfolds it does take a dark turn, but it wasn’t something that haunted me after I read it, so have no fear if you are worried about that.

The story is about a psychotherapist who believes that he can treat the “silent patient” who hasn’t said a word in years since she shot her husband in the face. The story chronicles their meetings and points of view from both main characters as the story unfolds. There is a twist, like any good story, that you may or may not see coming, but I’m confident you’ll eventually catch on before they clearly spell it out for you.
.
Overall, I read through the book really quickly and it definitely kept my attention although at some points I was hoping for more suspense and more information to unfold. I would recommend this book and will probably read it again. Enjoy
