Twisty but Predictable

This book read to me like a deliciously good and twisty Netflix mystery film. As the details to the bigger picture click into place like puzzle pieces, you begin to fall deeper and deeper into the horror of it all. While I found the ending predictable, I'd also argue that was the point and made it all the more gruesome. Certainly a great little mystery -- I sped through it quickly and with vigor.

I'm sure this book will inspire many a knockoff despite it's relatively straight-forward mystery format. The overall atmosphere adds left me on edge from the jump, it was comfortable to feel off-kilter. Also, the chapters were quite short, which reminded me a bit of 'The Da Vinci Code', in that it was easy to speed through in the geniune desire to see how this all shakes out.
