I read a lot of mysteries and psychological thrillers. Most of the time I figure out the plot twists. The Silent Patient totally shocked me. Alicia was such a compelling character. Beautiful, rich, successful. She couldn’t me a murderer! But why won’t she talk? And why does she keep attacking other patients? Theo was a wonderful, empathetic counselor. He went above and beyond professional expections just in the hope she would say one word. I only hope that all counselors care about their patients so much. There were many unsavory men in Alicia’s life that were credible suspects. I changed my mind on who did it every couple of chapters. But the final twist got me. Never suspected this person of such disgusting behavior. I may need to read again right now to see if I missed something!
