The Silent Patient follows Alicia Berenson, famous painter who kills her husband and never speaks another word, and Theo Faber, the criminal psychotherapist determined to get her to share her story.

The concept of The Silent Patient was very intriguing going into the novel. I enjoyed the alternating perspectives and the back and forth nature of the writing. The characters were interesting and the plot kept moving forward at a steady pace. The last 1/2 of the book was where things fell apart for me, though. I felt that it was fairly easy to put together the pieces and see what was coming. I was bummed to find out I had guessed correctly. Additionally, the book's premise and characters faded from memory fairly quickly.

I would half heartedly recommend this. If you love thrillers, I'm sure you'll love this one, but don't be too disappointed if you manage to guess the ending.
