I think my mouth is still wide open from this one... That. Was. Crazy. To say I wasn't expecting that twist is an understatement. So much so that I had to read that chapter again, just to be sure I read it right. Wow. I loved how much you get to know Alicia even when she's not speaking. And at the same time, she's so elusive. The story did seem a bit slow at first, but it kept my interest. I don't know what to think of Theo. And it's hard to say much without giving anything away. Every reader should experience the jaw dropping moment I had, so no spoilers here! The way Michaelides pulled the story together in the end... I'm shook by it all. What an amazing debut from Michaelides. Definitely excited to see what else he has in store for us!
