I was going back and forth between a 3 and a 4 for this title. I wasn’t in love with it and I found many parts of the story distracting in a way. I also was not surprised by the ending, which is shocking because it was a great way to end the book. I think I was expecting a THRILLING ending, when in reality, I was left satisfied that the suspense was over and I now know the “whodunnit.”

I would definitely not categorize this as a thriller, but instead a slow moving suspense.

I also found Theo, as the main character, quite narcissistic, which I came to find was the whole point of his character.

The author had a vast and accurate knowledge of psychology, therapy, and diagnosis, which I will give him huge Kudos (FYI: the author worked on a psych ward and has a psychologist sister, so he better know his stuff)!

The narrators for the audiobook were great-they both helped me enjoy the story as it was. Just wish I felt more than flat about this novel, because it really was a great book with a lot of time and love spent on it.
