I'm going to be honest - I'm not usually one for thrillers and they aren't usually the first thing I pick up. However, the hype around this book was real - and it didn't disappoint. Alex Michaelides kept me guessing the entire time. He created highly developed characters that you could find yourself invested in but critical of at the same time. When I first read that one of the main characters didn't speak, I assumed the book would be slow moving, but I never felt that way. Instead, I found myself constantly reaching for the book in order to find out what happens next. The twists and turns Michaelides crafted kept me interested down to the very last minute. Even on the last page, I didn't know what to expect. This book has some amazing reviews and for good reason.
