Interesting premise and I was surprised by the ending. I remember things starting to come together in my head and I was like woahhh. I do like the explanation given, and the characters do seem believable. The ending was not very original for crime/ thriller novel standards, but I still was not expecting it. (SPOILER: I really thought it was Max, or at least that other artist). I felt bad for her throughout the book, she was not dealt an easy life by any means and I do understand why what happened happened.
I’m glad there was a sense of justice happening at the end. But would I say this was incredible/ or I’d even reread it? No, not particularly. However, it definitely wasn’t bad. It was interesting and kept me guessing and doubting myself. I think maybe this genre just isn’t my favorite but it was a good thriller!
*Edit= After now having read more thrillers, I can confirm that I was not very impressed with this work, and would put it in the bottom half of thrillers I've read. I'm not a fan of the twist, and there are major issues with the plot not making sense (SPOILER: I cannot fathom why she wouldn't speak, other than for the plot).*
