This is a story about a woman, Alicia, who shoots her husband and then refuses to talk about it. Then, a criminal psychotherapist, who has been determined to get an opportunity to work with Alicia, attempts to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of WHY she did what she did.
I was SO excited for this book. I love when thrillers have a psychological piece, and the mutism aspect of this book was so intriguing. However, I just wasn't drawn in as much as I wanted to be. I'm not usually one who likes or tries to guess the twists in a story, however as the story kept going, I began to suspect what the big reveal was going to be. Then when it happened it fell flat. This book seems to be very polarizing - people either love it or hate it. Unfortunately, I fell in the latter category.
