3.5 stars, rounding up - the extra half star (and subsequent round-up) for the twist I didn’t see coming. Very slow start, but if you like thrillers, I think you will be impressed with the twist. I did not enjoy this book as much as everyone else did, unpopular opinion! I didn't see the twist coming, but it was so boring in the beginning that even it's unpredictability wasn't enough to make up for the slow beginning of the story. I had read over 100 pages before giving up, and almost nothing happened. There was so much detail about the doctor's background, and I just couldn't bring myself to care. I didn't pick up this book for psychobabble and multiple pages about why someone might smoke weed.
