I am going to confess here and now that I almost always read the ending of book before I start it. My reason is that there are so many books that I want to read that if the ending doesn't do it for me I move on to another book. So almost exactly a year ago I tried reading this one it was going slow and I was having a hard time getting into it so I looked at the ending and was like nope, I'm done. Fast forward a year and I am participating in March Mystery Madness and looking at my library for an audio book and decided to try this one again and man am I glad I did! This book is told from two perspectives in two different times. First we have the silent patient Alicia and we are getting her journal entries from the time leading up to when they found her holding a gun and her husband dead. Years later we are following Theo who is a psychotherapist and his journey to try and get Alicia to talk. This book took a few turns and even though I thought I knew the ending I did not. Highly recommend!
