Everyone has ranted and raved about how much they loved this book. It is a solid thriller for sure. The Greek symbolism that is so heavily emphasized really help to hammer home some of the central themes of this novel. With all of that being said, I guessed the twist. However, even with guessing the twist it was still an amazing thriller with everything you want in a thriller! The setting of it being in a mental institution really set the scene in a specific way. The characters were complex and I loved the alternating modes of storytelling between a journal and first person narrative. I am so glad I finally got to this one and, even though I guessed the twist, I still really enjoyed this read!
