This book was edge-of-your-seat, knuckle-biting, hair-tearing, gasp-out-loud levels of suspense! It starts of so calm. So peaceful. Why'd she do? Why? What happened? Can you tell me? Tell me more. And then it's like a high-speed launch into the OMG WHAT ON EARTH JUST HAPPENED ending! I was floored! I did not see that twist coming! I have proceeded to recommend this book to everyone I know that loves a good murder mystery!
Before reading the book, I honestly didn't think that Theo had any chance at all of getting through to Alicia, and that we would never get to truly understand her. I am so glad this book far exceeded my expectations. Theo was so much more than he seemed. Alicia was compelling, but I don't think my reaction would have been hers. Choosing to be silent? I don't think I could live that life!
