This is an absolutely stunning debut book. I was sucked into this book and wanted to know more and more and then was totally blindsided by the ending. It's a must read book. This book keeps you on edge wanting to know more and more and for a debut book this author is absolutely great. Knowing the inside knowledge of psychiatric hospitals and what they talk about in therapy sessions to how painting and the patients issues connected to want to keep talking to the patient. It was gripping from the beginning and made you never want to put the book down that it will have you think you know how it may end or what part each character plays through out it but it blindsides you at the end where you will want to go back and reread sections to make sure you got them and at the end you will realize that you could have figured it out but it had you thinking more and more as you read.
