The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, is an outstanding book! I was really hesitant about picking this book up at first when a friend recommended it. I couldn’t put it down once I got into it. The book follows Alicia Berenson an artist who is married to a fashion photographer named Gabriel. One day Gabriel returns home late from a photoshoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face. She never speaks another word after that. With no explanation as to why she shot her husband, many people come up with theories as to why she shot him. Her case was a really capturing thing to the public. Theo Faber a criminal psychotherapist was especially interested with Alicia and figuring out why she shot her husband. He is determined to get Alicia to talk again. But on his way to get Alicia to talk he learns many things from her past. Many things that could’ve been a factor to why she killed her husband. Amazing book!
