I read this ARC pretty quickly, and it was a really great psychological thriller debut. It had a weird undertone, because the narration was letter like, but everything still came across clearly.
If first being a thriller, there's the twist you probably don't see coming. For me, it was not predictable, it still had the shock value when it came to light. The premise was great, it definitely had originality, especially for a debut. It's not very long, so it didn't feel drawn out. I wouldn't say it fell flat, but at times it didn't seem exciting. That's what kept me from giving it 5 stars.
I think it's a great read for anyone who loves psychological thrillers, especially being that the main character is a psychologist.
