I read so many good reviews of this book so I was extremely excited when I finally got to sit down with it. Unfortunately this feel completely flat for me.
First, I found the writing to be wanting. It just didn’t grab me and felt very basic and not descriptive.
Secondly, I figured out the “big” plot twist well before it was revealed. Ok, so I didn’t understand every detail but I got the main part. It was just so obvious to me so there was no excitement when it was finally revealed.
Third, and for me this is the most important, I just didn’t care. I didn’t care about the silent artist and I didn’t care about the therapist and I didn’t care about the dead husband.
I know many readers loved this book, so don’t rely just on my review. But for me, this was a pass.
