One word to describe this book- AMAZING. Right from the very first page, I was sucked in. With Alicia standing over her husbands body and then doesn't speak after that. What?? Anyone who says this book is overhyped is wrong. Clear and simple. This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat and guessing until the very last page. This is the most brilliantly, twisted book I have ever read. For some strange reason, psychiatric facilities have always been an interest to me, but boy was the was extra fascinating.. and horrible. As Theo Faber becomes interested in Alicia case, he soon finds himself obsessed. As the POV changes from back and forth you will feel like you have a case of whiplash! But if you can keep track of things you will be handsomely rewarded! This is one of the best thrillers I have read to date, and the fact it is his first novel totally blows me away! I recommend this to everyone!
