When I first heard the synopsis of this book, I immediately wanted to pick it up. The plot was just generic enough to make me wonder what was going to happen next. I ended up really enjoying myself! I read this in just two days, and was instantly gripped from the start, especially with the short chapters. Though this isn’t my favorite psychological thriller I’ve ever read, the fact that if managed to get three stars from me, especially since it’s a debut novel, is still impressive.
This book kept me constantly guessing. I love how it delved into the psyche of the characters. The ending was also very impressive for this one. I guessed part of it, but the bigger reveal at the end surprised me. I also thought this book had a good ending. I’m very intrigued to see what Michaelides will write next!
