Be warned...this is definitely a slow burn in the beginning. It does not start off as some fast paced thriller that's keeping you on the edge of your seat. However, the whole premise of the story is extremely intriguing so I rode out the rather slow start.
The story picks up about halfway through. I absolutely did not figure out what was happening. The ending totally threw me. I love when I can't figure books out.
I think I expected to like this a bit more than I did. There was so much hype online about this one and I just didn't feel like it quite lived up to all the chatter. I think it was in part to the slow beginning. It was still a really good read. If you're into thrillers or mysteries, you'll probably enjoy this one.
