If I had to take five books on a deserted island, The Silent Patient makes it to the list. I recommend it to EVERYONE even if they aren’t a thriller person. The whole story is truly amazing. Following Theo and being in the hospital is so captivating, you really feel like you’re with them. And then THE TWIST oh my god. I gasped and had to walk away. I never could’ve imagined what would happened. I started this book on a Tuesday around noon and only put it down for meals. I finished it that night staying up a little too late. And then barely being able to fall back asleep after because I could not stop thinking about it. This book is incredible. And a debut. Oh how I love supporting debut authors! But truly, one of the best books I’ve read, and the reason I now like thrillers.
