Told through a first person accounting, the story pulls you in instantly. The author did a great job piquing the readers interest with the enigma that is Alicia and the bright, hopeful and morbidly curious, Theo. I enjoyed the presentation, it reads almost like a documentary or a true crime segment. This is not a book I would typically gravitate to but after reading the first look, I find myself as curious as Theo about Alicia and Gabriel and finding the answers to the mystery of that night six years ago. It has set a great opening to a read that is sure to be full of suspense and revelations.

The cover is haunting and sets the tone for this dark read. Its a bit understated but works well with the context of the story. After reading and taking a second look at the cover, it sends chills up your spine.
