This story is about a boy that ends up dealing with some pretty heavy stuff with his friends as a kid growing up. Later on as an adult he returns to his hometown to visit his dying mother. He ends up dealing with some old demons that he would have rather forgotten. The way dreams are used in this story is one of my favorite parts. There are tons of twists and turns you never see coming. The connections between the different crimes are great and the detectives trying to piece it together struggle to figure out who committed them.
This was a great read filled with some creepy concepts. I read the Whisper Man before this and that was really great too. I can't wait to read more from Alex North.
