The Whisper Man was better but this was good!
I loved The Whisper Man so when I saw that The Shadows was coming soon I nearly almost screamed of joy (ok, maybe I did just that).
But, seriously Alex North has yet to fail with both of his novels. I love how he matched the cover, which gives off this omnious vibe to it.
The Shadows was creepy don't get me wrong. I just think it lacked a little bit of it's creepiness compared to The Whisper Man.
I also thought that this one didn't have the type of family drama like The Whisper Man did and maybe that was the dynamic I was looking for while reading this one.
However, this book was easy to read and addicting. I read it in one-day and did overall love it. It's just hard as an author to have the second novel be as good as his first, understandable.
