Let me just say that Alex North is a GENIUS!!! About 70% of the book I was pretty sure we were going down this 1 path of this person is the reason for the new sacrificial killings and we know that they killed James. But my goodness does the town Gritten and its resident hold secrets!!!
North does a terrific job juggling the book going back and forth from the past and coinciding it with present day in Gritten. Not only was I not expecting the NUMEROUS plot twists and pointing fingers at "who-done-it"...North took it to another level.
There is not much I can say about how the book turned out without giving away HUGE spoilers. All I can say, and promise, is NO ONE WILL SEE THIS COMING!!! My heart and mind are overwhelmed from this captivating novel.
