This book attracted me initially because of the spooky cover art and synopsis. When I first started reading, it took me forever to become interested in the story. It wasn’t until I got around to page 100 that became INVESTED. The book, despite the slow start, is scary, shocking, twisty, and dark. It has became an instant favorite of mine and I have already recommended it to several friends. The characters, both current and of the past, intentionally hide details that made me dumbfounded when they were revealed. Alex North is an excellent writer that knows how to create suspense and intrigue. He was able to create characters that I genuinely hated and adored and I was never certain of their fate. If you are a fan of thrillers/mysteries you need to check this out!
