I so enjoyed this book. I have read Alex North's first book "The Whisper Man " and when I heard he had another great thriller coming out I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Luckily I won an arc from BookishFirst so here I am. This story had everything and more that the Whisper man had. I was pleasantly surprised that detective Amanda Beck was also in this book. I love her character so much and was pleased to learn some more about her backstory. This book had me hooked right from the beginning to the last page. I really enjoyed North's style of writing in both of his books. They seem to keep me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I would recommend anyone who enjoyed the Whisper man to read this one. @CeladonBooks. #TheShadowsBook.
