So I gave this book a 3.5 review and honestly I rounded up to 4 because I like his writing and loved The Whisper Man.

I got to say that I was expecting more just because The Whisper Man was such a good book and my 2019 favorite so I am not saying by any means that this is a bad book, just that I enjoyed it less than expected.

The idea of the story had me turning pages non stop, everything was sounding so good and it was really fascinating and creepy at the same time.
I think the book pulled some nice twists but to me at the end it all felt a little bit overreaching. What I mean with this is that there was too much of a stretch at some points and I didn't enjoy that.

I also loved the references to The Whisper Man in this book and how it happens in the same "universe". Again, I enjoyed the book and most definitely love Alex North's writing so I will definitely be recommending this one but to read it after TWM.
