An interesting opening to the book. I have not read the authors previous book, The Whisper Man, and I am not usually a big crime reader but I thought I would give this one a go based on the rating it has received so far.
I found myself interested in the characters and their separate sections. I liked the change in view point character and in person between the chapters, giving each character a different voice. I did find that there were already quite a lot of characters to be keeping track of and in different time lines and it would probably take a few more chapters to get those straight in my mind.
I was intrigued by the story so far and already would like to know how the book ends but I may be more likely to pick up the authors first book based on other reviews and this excerpt.
