I've read North's first book, "The Whisper Man" and I absolutely loved it so I had high hopes for this book too. It certainly did not disappoint and it grasped my attention immediately. I am definitely a thriller gal and I gauge most of my books by the prologue so the fact that North wrote the prologue for The Shadows with just enough detail and suspense to intrigue to keep the reader wanting more was impressive.
The following chapters were just as impressive, in fact. After reading the sample it left with chills and curiosity. It had all the ingredients of a perfect mystery and thriller and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on a copy when it is released in July. Thank you Alex North for creating another work of art!
