DI Amanda Beck (from The Whisper Man) is investigating a murder that was committed because of another murder that took place twenty-five years ago in another town. Paul Adams goes back to his hometown to deal with his mother in hospice and starts piecing together what exactly happened to his friends twenty-five years ago.

I think lucid dreaming is very interesting and was excited to see it as part of this story. The story shifts between past and present and between Amanda and Paul's POV. I really liked the past parts about lucid dreaming and wish there had been a bit more focus on that. The events that took place were really creepy, which I loved. There were a couple of good twists that I didn't see coming. Some of it was a bit on the cheesy side once the reason behind a couple of things is revealed. The ending is mostly what kept me from giving it 4 stars. I thought it could have been wrapped up a little sooner without the final "big" event that took place. I thought it wrapped up a little too neatly. Overall, I'm glad I gave this one a chance.
