"Red hands everywhere." Everyone knew someone like Charlie Crabtree. He was the kid in school who was into weird and creepy stuff. But Paul and his friends were drawn into his lucid dreaming scheme...and then someone was killed and Charlie disappeared. Paul comes back to take care of his ailing and dementia ridden mother only to find out that there has been another murder eerily similar to the one when he was younger. And the only way it could have been replicated was if the killers knew Charlie, or if Charlie had come back after all this time. As Paul gets sucked into the investigation and learns details of the crime he can't help flashing back to his own experiences with Charlie. The killers were caught, literally, red-handed and now his old home town is scared again. Is Charlie back? Did he help the killers? Where has he been all this time? And what really happened that night long ago?
